Beth graduated from Harvard University with a degree in history and literature and has an MA in American studies from the University of Iowa. She left grad school, dabbled in the magazine world for a little while, and then became an English teacher in Chicago Public Schools. After spending years as an editor and publicist at NewSouth Books, she decided to devote herself to the full-time pursuit of being the brains and brawn behind fizz editorial. She lives in Chicago.
